New Online Dating Website for Shy Singles (and It's Free!)

Are you shy?

Have you ever met someone who seemed like a perfect match for you, but then your shyness prevented you from making contact? Do you have mild shyness, moderate shyness, extreme shyness, situational shyness, Asperger's Syndrome, Social Anxiety Disorder, or Social Phobia?

Well, a new online dating website might just be the perfect fix for your shyness woes. The site is ShyPassions.com and it's a "100% free dating site." Here's a snippet from a press release issued today:

"Meeting new people can be difficult, especially when you are shy. While extroverts may lock eyes, smile, and walk over to introduce themselves when they are interested, introverts will often do the exact opposite. Rather than locking eyes, shy people can find themselves looking down or looking away, even though they may be interested. Shyness can look coy and cute from the outside, but it can sometimes be terribly difficult for the person dealing with it.

Online dating has grown substantially over the last 5+ years, and more and more people are embracing it as a means to meet new people for friendship and of course, romance. For people dealing with shyness however, online dating can still cause some anxiety. Sending an email to a stranger, and risking rejection, may be easier than walking up and saying hello, but it can still be difficult for many people.

Shy Passions is a new online dating site designed specifically for shy singles, regardless of their level of shyness: mild shyness, moderate shyness, extreme shyness, situational shyness, Asperger's Syndrome, Social Anxiety Disorder, or Social Phobia.

The idea behind the site is that it should be easier to take that first step, and say hello to someone, if you know that everyone on the site considers themselves to be at least a little shy too. Sending an email to someone isn't quite as scary when everyone is in the same boat.

Members are encouraged to define their shyness within the 'groups' section, so that other members have a sense of who they are chatting/emailing with. The 'groups' section was added as a way for people to find others who might be dealing with some of the same 'shyness' issues. After all, someone who is mildly shy may not understand what someone dealing with panic attacks and / or social phobia is going through.

Whether someone is looking for new friends, or something more, Shy Passions is designed to help shy singles take that first step."
