Further details below in the clip from today's press release:
"Anyone who has spent time dating online has signed up for a 'free membership' at one time or another, only to find out after writing that perfect profile, that their time was spent in vein, unless they spend $20 to 'upgrade' their account so they can actually interact with the community. Sadly, this has become a status-quo marketing practice in the industry, much to the chagrin of would-be members.
eRomance.com is promising to change that. The website (www.eromance.com) is offering a full featured community for dating, discussions, and blogging - and its 100% free. 'No credit card is ever required!' the website states confidently. 'We will make money from advertising, not from subscriptions, and we anticipate rapid growth because we are offering a high quality service for no cost to the user. If you know someone who is dating online, why wouldn’t you tell them about eRomance?' says Neal Cabage, President of enLogica Inc., which owns eRomance.com.
eRomance is positioning itself as the free alternative to other serious-relationship oriented sites such as eharmony.com. 'We are not interested in being another online meat market dating site,' says Cabage. 'Our core concept is Romance & Relationships, not simply dating. We are currently in Beta release and soon will be rolling out several new features that make it clear what we’re about, and we expect this to really help shape our community demographic and set us apart.'
The site is said to be in Beta release because it recently launched and not all of the core features have been released yet. 'Our doors are still open however and we are eager to receive new members at anytime, leading up to our official launch in Mid July. And yes, eRomance.com is committed to remaining 100% free even after its official launch in late July. It is core to our business concept and will not change anytime soon,' Neal Cabage explained."
